Allen Park, Mich.- The Detroit Lions officially confirmed today that they have acquired TE Tony Scheffler and a 2010 seventh-round pick (220th overall) from the Denver Broncos in a three-team trade that sent LB Ernie Sims to the Philadelphia Eagles. Completing the trade, Denver received a 2010 fifth-round pick (137th overall) from Philadelphia.
The team also confirmed that restricted free agent S Daniel Bullocks has signed his tender offer and that they have released TE Michael Matthews.
