Allen Park, Mich.-The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed free agent CB Jonathan Wade to a one-year deal. Additional contract terms were not disclosed.
Wade (5-10, 198) will add depth to the team's secondary as well as contribute on special teams. He has played in 47 career games through three NFL seasons, including six starts, and has accumulated 47 tackles (42 solo), 2 interceptions, 7 pass defenses and 23 special teams. Wade has also returned two kickoffs for 40 yards. He was originally selected by the St. Louis Rams in the third round (84th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft.
