The Lions practiced in shells on the outdoor fields today at the team’s headquarters and practice facility in Allen Park.
The team announced Tuesday that they have placed rookie CB Aaron Berry on the Reserve/Injured list and signed free agent CB Nathan Vasher.
The following players have been listed on the Detroit Lions’ Injury Report: DE Cliff Avril (knee/finger), S Louis Delmas (groin/biceps), LB DeAndre Levy (groin) and QB Matthew Stafford (right shoulder) did not practice. S C.C. Brown (forearm) was limited and RB Jahvid Best (toe) had full participation in practice today.
The following players were listed on the Philadelphia Eagles’ Injury Report today: LB Stewart Bradley (concussion) and QB Kevin Kolb (concussion) did not practice. DE Antwan Barnes (wrist), RB Mike Bell (toe), DT Brodrick Bunkley (ankle), G Nick Cole (knee), G Todd Herremans (ankle), T Austin Howard (back), DT Trevor Laws (oblique) and LB Ernie Sims (wrist, quadricep) each had full participation in practice today.
The Detroit Lions will host the Philadelphia Eagles in their home opener at Ford Field on Sunday, September 19 at 1 p.m. Both teams will be looking to get on track after losing their season openers. The game will be televised in Metro Detroit on WJBK-TV FOX Channel 2 (subject to blackout)
Approximately 3,000 tickets are still available for Sunday’s regular season home opening game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Ford Field. The game must be sold out by Friday, September 17 at 1 p.m. ET in order to lift the local television blackout (Metro Detroit, Lansing, Saginaw/Flint and Toledo markets). If a sellout is not reached by the deadline, the game will not air in the blackout areas, including WJBK-TV FOX 2 in Metro Detroit.
